Triple Wins at The Market

With a dedicated team of international chefs, a Conran & Partners designed interior and authentic recreations of food markets from all around the world, The Market wins hearts of many. In May, The Market wins 3 coveted awards: OpenRice's Best Buffet Restaurant for 7 consecutive years, Best Restaurant in Tsim Tsa Tsui and TripAdvisor's Hall of Fame Awards for attaining 5 years of The Certificate of Excellence.

Homage to Culture

The Market at Hotel ICON takes inspiration from the iconic food markets of Asia and Europe. It recreates the vibrant atmosphere, abundant fresh produce, authentic cuisine and friendly smiles in a refreshing way with a modern twist. Also designed by Conran & Partners, The Market wraps around a lovely internal courtyard and has a robust, industrial feel with concrete walls offset with colours and textures reminiscent of Mediterranean deli counters.

 

Though the team of chefs at The Market are diverse in background, they unite in their love of home and passion for culinary excellence. The Market featured a number of authentic cuisines with chefs from Singapore, Thailand, India and Hong Kong. In the past, our team of international chefs have hosted numerous food promotions including the Royal Thai Flavours to celebrate Songkran Thai Festival, Singaporean Buffet and Durian Dessert, Macau Portegese Food Promotion and Taste of Korea that were well received. 

 

 

 

A Continuous Journey 

Receiving the awards were a humbling and reflective journey. It is a milestone that marks the beginning of our new growth. Congratulations to the team at The Market for their achievments, and thank you to all the loyal patrons for their endless support. Hotel ICON and The Market will continue to strive for excellence, stay true to our DNA and push boundaries to become better every day. 

 

Pride in Individuality

We strongly believe so. At Hotel ICON, we are constantly looking for ways to innovate and improve, and The Market is not an exception. In May 2018, The Market adds revolutionary plant based patty, The Impossible Burger to its menu, served in more than 7 different ways, prepared using various cooking methods. The Market is the first to serve Impossible Foods in a Pan Asian style, with each of the Impossible food item cooked in an authentic way that embodies the best of each place. Highlights include Thai Spicy Country Sausage, Tandoori Kabab with Cucumber Raita, Braised Eggplant with Impossible Mince and Chilli Sauce, Impossible Cheese Burger, Samosa with Mint Chutney, Crispy Fried Won Ton with Sweet and Sour Sauce and many more.
