The Damned play in Hong Kong
In the annals of punk rock, a ledger both liberating and labyrinthine, the Damned are often credited as the first English punk band: the first to release a single (October 1976's New Rose), the first to release an album and the first to tour America. When they began the term ‘punk rock’ did not exist and they described themselves as ‘just a band with ideas’.

Whatever they were, the Damned proved to be punk's most durable progeny and as part of their 40th anniversary tour they are playing live in Hong Kong on Tuesday 28 February at UndergroundHK to celebrate the release all those years ago (40 years and 10 days on the 28th to be precise) of their famous album Damned Damned Damned. |
Their show promises to be fast and furious and they aren’t afraid to interact with the crowd either. So whether you remember them first time around or this is a new experience it promises to be neat neat neat! |
