From October 8 – 16, some of the biggest names in women’s tennis are coming to town for the Hong Kong Tennis Open. This is a Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) sanctioned International Series Event, the first of its kind where players battle it out for the US$250,000 prize. Held in Victoria Park in the city’s Causeway Bay district, it’s only a brief subway, bus, or taxi ride from Hotel ICON. Don’t miss American superstar Venus Williams, Angelique Kerber and many more! http://www.hktennisopen.hk/p/en/home

Two wheels are the order of the day at the Sun Hung Kai Properties Hong Kong Cyclothon! The event mixes amateur and professional races and rides, allowing enthusiasts to push themselves on grueling courses or enjoy the city’s scenery on longer and more leisurely rides. For both, expect huge crowds cheering you on and then kick back at a fun-filled carnival! 18 countries were represented in 2016 in more than 4,600 participants, with some of the proceeds going to charity. http://www.shkp.com/en-US/Pages/press-release-detail/2313

Bikes also make an appearance at the Hong Kong ASTC Triathlon Asia Cup. Some of the world’s best come to Asia’s World City for arguably the ultimate test of both physical and mental strength. But it’s not just professionals as there are other distances for different age groups, Paratriathlon, Relay Races, Schools and even TriKids categories. Join them October 15-16, more details here: http://www.triathlon.com.hk/en/

The waters of Hong Kong harbor are known the world over for their sights and sounds, but they also play host to an annual cross harbor race where more than 1,000 contestants swim 1.8km across to the other side. Formerly held every year from 1906 to 1979, it was resumed in 2011, much to the delight of swimmers and fans alike. Thousands will line the waterside to see them in action on October 16th form 8.30 in the morning, so to join them and for more details go here www.hkharbourrace.com

Electrifying the harbourfront, excitement is building up as the first-ever Formula E championship will be held in Hong Kong on a street circuit in Central in October. And we’re proud to be one of the event partners!
