Hotel ICON partners with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University's (PolyU) School of Design to unveil a innovative Mid-Autumn Festival booth featuring student-led designs and Research Institute for Future Food's (RiFood) coffee bean 3D printing innovation. This collaboration celebrates creativity, sustainability, and the enriching experience it brings to guests.
 

 

Reimagining Tradition Through Design Innovation
 
In a city where tradition meets innovation, Hotel ICON reimagined its Mid-Autumn Festival celebration to honor cultural heritage while embracing modern creativity. Partnering with PolyU School of Design, we invited students to craft a booth that blends elegance with ingenuity—featuring Ri-Food’s pioneering coffee bean 3D printing composite as a highlight of the display.

 

 

 

 

 

A Fusion of Aesthetics and Sustainability

 

The result is a captivating installation that fuses artistry with sustainability. A luminous moon-inspired centerpiece anchors the booth, framed by elegant floral accents and curated displays of mooncakes and festive items. An info stand guide guests through the design story. At its core, Ri-Food’s coffee bean composite brings visual impact and eco-conscious innovation—highlighting both student creativity and the promise of sustainable materials in hospitality.
