Opera For All

If opera is your thing then you are in for a treat with the Chinese Opera Festival which runs until August.

This year the Festival will present a stronger cast and an enhanced programme mix in a multi layers of Chinese operatic genres to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the return of Hong Kong to China. The two leading Peking Opera troupes in China, the Peking Opera Theatre of Beijing and the First Troupe of the China National Peking Opera Company, will meet at the remarkable opening programme “Peking Opera Gala” for a performance of A Right Royal Match featuring many of China’s opera stars and throughout the period there are many other top notch performances to experience.
