The enchanting 3-course forest-themed ForestFit Afternoon Tea With Japanese Fruit And AkkMore™ is the first afternoon tea in Hong Kong to use the all-natural fungus extracts known as AkkMore™. With this new formula, the unlimited serving of Japanese Houjicha and Hokkaido Milk soft serve's total fat content is reduced by more than 80%^ and the calorie content is decreased by half^ comparing to regular recipes.
Executive chef, Danny Ho, has selected fresh fruit from around Japan as the ingredients for a range of desserts, including Shine Muscat, Mango, and Peach. They are creatively presented on a luminous wooden tea set stand with a captivating mushroom forest centerpiece. Experience a delightful fusion of flavors and enchanting moments.
On Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, each guest is treated to a complimentary glass of French sparkling wine.
What are the health benefits that AkkMore™ brings to the human body?
AkkMore™ - the innovative formula was developed by a research team led by Dr Gail Jinhui Chang at the Research Institute for Future Food (RiFood) and Department of Food Science and Nutrition (FSN) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). It has been tested for its effectiveness in providing numerous health benefits, which include preventing obesity and other metabolic diseases, enhancing gut health, modulating the immune response, and reducing anxiety. It was awarded a silver medal at the 2022 International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva.
^Laboratory nutrition test was done based on two samples of soft serve, one made with AkkMore™ and one made with milk. Both samples were created on 9 April 2024 and test was conducted by SGS Hong Kong Limited.
