Director of Sales & Marketing


Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Director of Sales & Marketing will lead a professional sales & marketing team with the following key responsibilities: 

  • Leading teams of rooms sales, catering sales, and PR & digital marketing in developing marketing activities, annual marketing plan, marketing budgets, yield and profit implement plans and overseeing the implementation of all the strategic marketing and tactical sales activities
  • Using his/her knowledge of market trends and target customer information to maximize hotel revenue
  • Creating strategic business plan to achieve revenue targets
  • Managing daily sales & marketing activities
  • Provide exceptional Hotel ICON customer service
  • Coaching and developing colleagues and students


In light of the job specifications, the ideal candidate should possess the following attributes and characteristics:


Qualification & Experience

  •  At least 12 years of experience in marketing and sales discipline and 4 years of which is in management position
  • Preferably with a good mix of upscale independent and chained hotels experience
  • Pre-opening and start-up experience a plus
  • Solid and proven track record
  • University graduate in related discipline
  • Excellent presentation, counseling and negotiation skills
  • Extensive and quality local market experience
  • Fluent spoken English

Director of Learning & Development


The Director of Learning & Development is responsible on creating and developing customized training programs for the Hotel while ensuring all training functions and activities are aligned to the training objectives and hotel strategic direction. He/she is also responsible for assuming the administrative duties of the SHTM-Hotel ICON education programs and ensures all concerned activities are aligned to the school & hotel objectives and strategic direction. This position is also required to conduct certain assigned courses.


In light of the job specifications, the ideal candidate should possess the following attributes and characteristics:


Qualification & Experience

  • Graduate holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management or preferably a Master’s degree in similar professional spectrum.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in supervisory position in an operation department.
  • At least 8 years’ training, learning & development in a hotel establishment with service standard pitched at deluxe hotel level.
  • Knowledge and ability of how to develop and to design training programs.
  • Excellent communication, presentation & coaching skills.
  • Able to maintain strong degree of confidentiality.
  • Strong computer literacy skills in Micro-soft Office programs.
  • Problem solving and action plan formulation.
  • Must have the experience and the proven ability working within a multi-cultural environment.
  • High capability of coaching and strong passion of developing others.
